Resistant

The development of First MK2 arose from the request, expressed by many of our customers all over the world, to have an O&U durable over time, even in worst circumstances. For First MK2 we have chosen to use steel for the production of receiver and tail, a choice that guarantees stability and durability over time even in worst conditions. First MK2 is available with automatic ejectors or manual extractors and suitable for all those who want excellent performance and quality Made in Italy.

Balancing

The accurate study of our technical department focused on optimizing balancing, developing the best solution keeping in mind the receiver and tail and the necessity to ensure a fast and precise wielding for the shooter. The result is First MK2, an easy-to-use and robust over and under.

Mechanism

The quality of selected raw materials together with know-how and expertise of our gunsmiths combine and complete each other in the production of the new First MK2, ensuring a mechanism which is precise and perfect in every detail.

Chokes

First MK2 fits 70mm chokes produced in our plant. The steel is the same one used for barrels in order to take advantage of the same elasticity of the materials; this feature, together with internal chrome, guarantees that our chokes have a very low roughness, which reduces the deformation of lead on its passage, giving a perfect shot-pattern.

First MK2 in 12ga is the basic version of the range, with its neat and linear design and together with its modest engraving running all along the receiver it is ideal for all hunters who would like a resistant O&U, completely made in Itay, without compromising on style.

Action finishing The surface of the receiver is hand-polished by the craftsman; it is then engraved with a decorative pattern and wildlife subjects. The receiver is then nickel-plated in order to give the rifle a shine, and, as a final touch, gauge and Marocchi logo are engraved on receiver plate.

For those who would like a more elegant and refined look, Marocchi’s proposal is “Gold” line. First MK2 Gold Black in 12ga comes with a completely burnished receiver embellished by the gilded name of the model and a refined gold line running all along the receiver.

An O&U thought for those who love tradition, First MK2 Gold comes with a new resistant steel receiver and a finishing embellished by an interesting mix of colours obtained through to color-case hardening process, that besides giving this particular color, it gives more resistance to the receiver.

First MK2-DL12 is the right choice for those who don’t compromise on practicality and elegance: this model features on both sides and on bottom plate of steel receiver, typical of First MK2, an elegant and delicate floral engraving completed with flying gilded animals. The engraving is enriched with black ink to enhance its details.
First MK2 DL12 is then completed with oil-finished walnut wood with a fine aesthetic finish.
